KILLER PIMP
[There is a sea of mediocrity out there we will not be part of.]

Can I get promos?
Prepare samples and credentials when contacting us.

Where can I buy your merchandise?
If you can't find the stuff in your coolest local shops, bitch to them, but you can buy direct from brainwashed.

What is Turbo Pimp and Killer Pimp?
They are both experimental recording companies, fraternal twin brothers, working side by side, hand in hand. Future plans do not exclude live events, possible concert promotion and tour management.

What is the difference between the two?
There's not a finite line drawn as of yet, you'll have to wait and see as the releases develop. For now an idea is that the Turbo Pimp embraces beat and the Killer Pimp embraces aggression.

Are there any releases in development?
Yes, but things will be kept a secret until the release time arrives.

What is your demo policy?

  1. All demos will be heard, but there is no guarantee on response.
  2. Demos must be submitted in the form of CD-R, DAT, MiniDisc, vinyl, cassette, 8-track - in that preferred order.
  3. Do not -EVER- email an MP3 file to us.
  4. Include address, phone number, email address and real names.
  5. We cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged recordings, so please use good postage and package things nicely.

Why not Brainwashed Recordings?
Brainwashed.com is related to the Pimp net, Brainwashed Inc. hosts the Pimp net - but the Brainwashed Recording label is merely an extension of the website Brainwashed.com.

I sent something and didn't hear back from you. What gives?
We cannot respond to everybody but in the case we want to, you need to provide us contact information.

Helpful hints:
Make sure you love your demo, make sure you would buy it if you heard it randomly on the radio or in a club, at a friends house or on the net. It better be fucking incredible if we're gonna sink money and time into it. We work full time jobs and this is a label which will be in the development process for years as most awesome labels are.

What we don't want to see/hear:

  1. Unfinished product - don't give us something with a note saying how it could be better with better gear.
  2. Fresh out-of-the-box electronica - don't give us something with lame 4/4 beats combined with pre programmed synth sounds unless you have done something immaculate with it. "But you're missing out on some great music," people might think - well, start your own damn label if you don't agree with us.

Adjectives to describe music we'd like to hear:
Intense, obscene, unavoidable, unlubricated, unapologetic, caustic, pungent, degenerate, virulent, severe, carcinogenic, corrosive, salacious, fetishable, toxic, chalky, venemous.

Where can I send my stuff when I'm ready?

Who is the pimp? I want to talk to the pimp.
